Flexible control cable for industrial and installation applications

The JZ-500 cable is a flexible control cable designed for medium mechanical loads in dry, wet and humid environments (excluding open spaces). It is perfect for flexible connections where resistance to bending and twisting is required. Numbered cores facilitate identification and connection, resulting in faster installation. This cable is used in control and measuring instruments and in industrial equipment.

Construction and properties ensuring durability

The cable is made of stranded copper cores insulated with special PVC (Z 7225). The cores are twisted in parallel and surrounded by an outer jacket of PVC (TM2), which provides high flexibility and abrasion resistance. The materials used are silicone, cadmium and lacquer-inhibiting substance free. The outer jacket is grey (RAL 7001). The cable is available with or without a yellow-green protective core. Additionally, on request, the cable can be manufactured to "cleanroom" standard or with black cores numbered according to customer specifications.

Technical parameters and scope of applications

The JZ-500 cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 500V, and its core cross-section is 0.75 mm². It can operate at temperatures from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -15°C to +80°C during installation. It is resistant to oils, chemicals and radiation up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (80 Mrad). The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter during flexible operation and 4 x cable diameter during stationary installation. The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/DIN EN 50525-2-51 and has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the low-voltage directive 2006/95/EG. Its approximate outer diameter is 21.2 mm.
