Halogen-free shielded control cable – safety and reliability

This flexible control cable JZ-520 HMH-C LS0H, classified as B2ca, is designed for demanding installations where fire safety and protection against interference are crucial. This cable is perfect for both public buildings and industry, ensuring reliable operation of control and measurement systems.

The cable is characterized by a construction that minimizes the emission of smoke and toxic gases in the event of a fire – it meets halogen-free standards (LS0H), which is particularly important in places with a high concentration of people. The screen in the form of a braid of copper wires provides high resistance to electromagnetic interference (EMC), guaranteeing stable signal transmission.

Construction and properties

The JZ-520 HMH-C LS0H 7G2,5 cable is made of high-quality materials:

• Conductors: Copper, stranded, flexible class 5 – provide good flexibility and durability of connections.

• Insulation: Halogen-free polymer mixture TI7 – guarantees safety in case of fire.

• Screen: Braid of tinned copper wires with a coverage density of approx. 85% – effectively suppresses electromagnetic interference.

• Sheath: Halogen-free polymer type M1 – provides additional protection against external factors and minimizes the emission of toxic substances during combustion.

• Sheath color: Gray (RAL 7001) - facilitates cable identification in the installation.

Additionally, the cable has a yellow-green protective conductor (in the 7G2,5 configuration) for increased safety. The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances hindering painting.

Application and technical parameters

The JZ-520 HMH-C LS0H 7G2,5 cable is primarily used as a control cable in buildings of the People Hazard (ZL) category, such as office buildings, hospitals, schools or airports. It will also be useful in industrial installations, machines, conveyor belts and air conditioning systems. It can be used in both permanent and flexible installations.

• Minimum bending radius (flexible): 12.5 x cable diameter

• CPR class: B2ca-s1a, d0, a1 – provides a high level of fire safety in accordance with EN 50575.

• Outer diameter: approx. 11.9 mm
