Construction and properties

The UNIPUR-CP cable has been designed with durability and functionality in mind. It consists of seven copper strands, twisted according to DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360 and IEC 60228 standards. Each strand is insulated with thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), providing excellent dielectric properties and abrasion resistance. The strands are twisted in parallel for optimal twist pitch, and the whole is wrapped in foil for additional protection. A screen made of tinned copper wires (approx. 85% coverage) minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is particularly important in sensitive devices. The outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) provides resistance to oils, greases, water, climate change, ozone, oxygen and UV radiation.

The cable remains flexible even at low temperatures (down to -40°C), making it ideal for working in difficult weather conditions. The materials used in production are silicone, cadmium and paint-inhibiting substance-free. Available in violet (RAL 4005), but other colours are available on request.
