Flexible PUR cable for use in energy chains

This high-quality flexible cable, designated m.FLEX 512-PUR, is designed for operation in demanding industrial conditions, particularly in energy chain systems. It provides a reliable connection in applications requiring high flexibility and resistance to external factors. The cable complies with UL/CSA standards, confirming its safety and quality.

The cable is distinguished by its construction, which ensures long-term operation even with intensive bending and twisting. Made of high-quality materials, it guarantees electrical and mechanical stability. The gray, halogen-free polyurethane (PUR) outer jacket provides additional protection against damage and environmental influences.

Construction and properties

The cable consists of four cores with a cross-section of 2.5 mm², made of stranded copper class 6, which ensures high flexibility and resistance to material fatigue. The cores are insulated with special polypropylene (PP), and their identification is done by numbers printed on the insulation. The cores are twisted in layers, which minimizes the risk of electromagnetic interference. Additionally, the cable has a braid increasing its mechanical strength (except for cables with a cross-section of 4 mm²).

• Resistance to external factors: The cable is resistant to oil, UV radiation, ozone, weather conditions, hydrolysis, and many chemicals (acids, alkalis, lubricants, seawater).
• Temperature range: Operation at temperatures from -40°C to +80°C (after installation) and from -30°C to +80°C during installation.
• Rated voltage: 600 V – enables use in a wide range of electrical installations.
• Halogen-free: The materials used in production do not contain halogen, which increases fire safety and minimizes the emission of toxic gases in the event of a fire.
• Minimum bending radius: 5x cable diameter during dynamic (flexible) operation and 3x cable diameter during static laying – this ensures easy installation even in tight spaces.
