Flexible PUR-JZ cable – reliability in harsh conditions

This 5-core flexible cable with a polyurethane (PUR) insulation is an excellent solution for applications requiring high mechanical and chemical resistance. This cable, with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², is ideal for use in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, the oil and coal sectors, and on construction sites. Its construction and materials ensure reliable operation even in extreme conditions.

Construction and properties

The PUR-JZ cable stands out with its solid construction. Multi-strand, flexible copper conductors (class 5) are insulated with special PVC TI2, ensuring their durability and resistance to damage. Parallel twisted cores with an optimal twist pitch minimize the risk of interference. Additionally, an inner PVC coating facilitates stripping the outer jacket during installation. The whole is surrounded by a durable polyurethane (PUR) jacket, which provides resistance to abrasion, oils, greases and weather conditions. The cable is available in orange (RAL 2003) for easy identification.

A key feature of this cable is its flexibility at low temperatures – up to -15°C during installation and -40°C after installation – making it ideal for outdoor and cold environment applications. A rated voltage of 500V allows for safe use in various electrical installations.
