Flexible PUR cable – reliability in harsh conditions

This flexible control cable with a polyurethane (PUR) jacket is the ideal solution for applications requiring high mechanical and chemical resistance. The cable is characterized by exceptional durability and flexibility, making installation easy even in tight spaces. The use of high-quality materials guarantees long-lasting and trouble-free operation over a wide temperature range.

The cable is designed for medium mechanical stress and is ideal for flexible connections without tensile stress. It can be used in dry, humid and wet rooms as well as outdoors. Thanks to its resistance to mineral oils and coolants, it is particularly recommended for use in mechanical engineering, construction, rolling mills and steelworks.

Construction and properties

The PUROE-JZ 3G1 cable stands out with its careful construction ensuring optimal performance:

• Stranded copper conductors, un-tinned, twisted strand class 5 (according to DIN VDE 0295, BS 6360, IEC 60228), providing high flexibility and fatigue resistance.
• Conductor insulation made of special oil-resistant TI2 PVC (DIN VDE 0207-363-3 / DIN EN 50363-3), increasing resistance to chemical substances.
• Conductor marking: black conductors with white printed numbers (DIN VDE 0293) facilitate the identification of individual wires during installation.
• Yellow-green protective conductor (from 3 conductors) placed in the outer layer ensures safe use.
• Outer jacket made of TMPU polyurethane (DIN EN 50363-10-2) is characterized by high resistance to abrasion, tearing and weathering. Colour: grey (RAL 7001).

In addition, the cable is resistant to UV radiation, oxygen, ozone and hydrolysis and microbes. The materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting. The cable is metered for convenient dispensing of the required length. Meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive CE (2014/35/EU).

Technical parameters and operating range

This cable is characterized by the following parameters: rated voltage U is 500 V, rated conductor cross-section is 1 mm², and the number of conductors is 3. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 5.9 mm. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +80°C in stationary mode and -20°C to +80°C in flexible mode. Insulation resistance is minimum 20 MOhm x km, and minimum bending radius is 7.5 x Ø cable for flexible operation and 4 x Ø cable for stationary operation. Test voltage is 4000 V, and breakdown voltage is minimum 8000 V.
