Single-state relays are used to detect the presence of electrically conductive liquids at the level of mounting the flood probe.
Action
In the dry state, the relay contact remains in the 7-4 position. When the probe is flooded with liquid (i.e. the probe electrodes short-circuit), the relay contact is switched to the 7-8 position. After the liquid level drops (probe electrodes are opened), the relay contact returns to the 7-4 position.
