Flexible TRONIC-CY cable – a reliable cable for control and data transmission systems

This shielded TRONIC-CY cable is a versatile solution for use in control systems, data transmission and measuring equipment. It is characterized by high flexibility and durability, making it an ideal choice for both professional installers and end users. The cable is designed to operate in various conditions, from dry rooms to environments with increased humidity.

Construction and properties

The cable has 10 cores with a cross-section of 1 mm², made of unannealed copper. The cores are insulated with special PVC (TI2) and marked with colors according to DIN 47100, which facilitates identification. Twisted cores are wrapped in foil and protected with a braid screen made of copper wires, providing high resistance to electromagnetic interference (EMC). The whole is surrounded by a durable outer coating made of PVC (TM2) in gray (RAL 7001). This makes the cable resistant to abrasion, oils and many chemicals.

The cable is metered, which makes it easy to precisely adjust the length to the needs of a specific installation. Its outer diameter is approximately 11.2 mm. The flexible construction of the cable (core class 5) allows for easy routing in tight spaces and minimizes the risk of damage during installation.

The TRONIC-CY cable is used in:

• Installations in dry, damp and wet rooms (not outdoors)

The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0812 and the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). It also has a certificate confirming its fire resistance in accordance with IEC 60332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2. The operating temperature range is from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -5°C to +80°C (flexible). It should be remembered that the cable is not intended for high-current installations – the operating voltage is a maximum of 500V.
