Cable for chain guides – reliability in harsh conditions
This shielded chain cable HELUKABEL SHIPFLEX® 340 is a solution designed to operate in demanding environments, such as marine or industrial applications, where it is exposed to high mechanical, chemical and atmospheric loads. The cable is characterized by high flexibility and resistance to damage, ensuring continuity of power and signal. It is ideal for use in moving parts of machines and equipment where standard cabling fails.
Construction and properties
The SHIPFLEX® 340 cable is characterized by an advanced construction that guarantees its durability and reliability. It is made of stranded copper conductors, with a cross-section of 0.25 mm², which ensures good conductivity and flexibility. The conductors are insulated with a special material and twisted in pairs, which minimizes electromagnetic interference. The whole is surrounded by a screen of tinned copper wires, which further protects against the influence of external interference. The outer jacket made of polyurethane (PUR) provides resistance to abrasion, oils, UV radiation and low and high temperatures. The cable is halogen-free, which increases safety in the event of a fire.
- Mechanical strength: The special construction of the cable allows for repeated bending without loss of electrical properties – ideal for chain guides.
- Chemical resistance: The PUR jacket provides resistance to the action of oils, lubricants and other aggressive chemicals.
- Safety: The halogen-free coating minimizes the emission of toxic gases in the event of a fire.
- Shielding: Effectively reduces electromagnetic interference (EMC), ensuring stable signal transmission.
- Wide temperature range: Allows operation at temperatures from -40°C to +80°C (flexible) and -40°C to +80°C (stationary).
- Marine application: Meets the stringent standards required in marine applications.
Applications and compliance with standards
The SHIPFLEX® 340 cable finds application in a wide range of industrial and marine applications:
- Machines and equipment: Power supply to moving parts of machines, industrial robots, conveyors.
- Marine applications: Power supply to equipment on ships, drilling platforms and other offshore facilities.
- Shipbuilding industry: Cabling of control and power systems on ships.
- Industrial automation: Power supply to sensors, motors and other automation devices.
The cable meets the standards:
- DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1 (fire resistance)
- DIN VDE 0482 part 267 / DIN EN 50267-2-1 / IEC 60754-1 (halogen-free)
- IEC 60092-350 (oil resistance)
- IEC 60092-350 (behavior at low temperatures)
- UL Style 20234
Thanks to this, you can be sure that the cable meets all the required safety and quality standards.
