Cable unipolar sin halógenos, resistente a altas temperaturas HELUTHERM® 145 1x2,5 mm² marrón 51339
Cable unipolar halogen-free, resistant to high temperatures
This brown unipolar HELUTHERM® 145 cable is designed for demanding applications where temperature resistance and fire safety are crucial. Made of copper, tinned, with insulation made of cross-linked polyolefin copolymer, it provides reliable conductivity and long-lasting operation. The cable is characterized by flexibility thanks to the multi-wire strand construction, which facilitates installation and routing in tight spaces.
Construction and properties
The HELUTHERM® 145 cable stands out with a construction that provides high resistance to extreme conditions. The copper core, meeting DIN VDE 0295 class 5 (or equivalent IEC 60228 class 5 and BS 6360 class 5), is multi-wire and flexible, which translates to easy installation even in difficult conditions. The insulation made of cross-linked polyolefin copolymer provides not only excellent electrical properties but also resistance to abrasion, oils and UV radiation. Importantly, the materials used in production are cadmium and silicone-free, which affects the safety of use and minimizes the risk of corrosion.
This cable has a number of important features:
- Halogen-free: In the event of a fire, it does not release toxic gases and fumes, increasing evacuation safety. Meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0482 part 267 and IEC 60754-1/2.
- High temperature resistance: Allows operation in a temperature range from -35°C to +120°C (flexible) and from -55°C to +145°C (stationary), making it an ideal solution for applications in heating devices or lighting.
- Resistance to external factors: Exhibits resistance to UV radiation, ozone and weather conditions, allowing it to be used both indoors and outdoors.
- Reduced fire propagation: Compliant with DIN EN 45545-2 and IEC 60332-3-22, confirming its fire-retardant properties.
- Rated voltage: Suitable for operation at a rated voltage of up to 500 V (300V for cross-sections below 1mm²) or up to 750 V (when laid in protective conduits).
Applications and installation
The HELUTHERM® 145 cable finds wide application in various industries and construction:
- Wiring of lighting fixtures: Due to its high temperature resistance, it is ideal for use in lighting fixtures.
- Heating devices: A safe choice in heating installations and heat generating devices.
- Electrical machines: It performs well in the wiring of electrical machines of thermal class B.
- Distribution boards: It can be used in electrical distribution boards due to its insulating properties and temperature resistance.
- Surface, on and in-wall installations: A universal cable for various types of electrical installations.
- Rail vehicles: Possible application with a DC working voltage of up to 900V
The minimum bending radius is 4x the outer diameter for stationary installations and 8x the outer diameter for flexible installations – it is worth taking this into account during installation to avoid damage to the cable. The cable is intended for laying in protective conduits or directly in dry and closed places.
