The ATV320 frequency inverter is a versatile device designed to control asynchronous and synchronous motors in industrial and commercial applications. Designed by Schneider Electric, this model offers reliable operation, easy integration and advanced control functions, making it an ideal solution for packaging machines, conveyors, actuators and lifting equipment. Its compact dimensions allow for installation in limited spaces, and the built-in EMC filter ensures electromagnetic compatibility.

Functionality and communication

This 3-phase inverter operates in a voltage range of 380-500V AC at a frequency of 50/60Hz, delivering 1.5kW of power at a current of 4.1A. It is equipped with a rich set of inputs and outputs – 6 digital inputs, 1 digital output, 3 analog inputs and 1 analog output – allowing for flexible adaptation to different application needs. Communication is via built-in RS485 ports (CANopen slave, Modbus RTU) and the ability to expand with additional communication modules such as EtherCAT, DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP, Profibus DP V1, Profinet or Ethernet Powerlink. This makes integration with automation systems simple and efficient.

Safety and reliability

The ATV320 offers advanced safety features, including Safe Torque Off (STO), Safely Limited Speed (SLS), Safe Stop 1 (SS1), Safe Maximum Speed (SMS) and Guard Door Locking (GDL). These functions increase the safety of machinery and equipment. In addition, the device meets CE, ATEX, UL and CSA standards, confirming its high quality and compliance with international standards. The robust construction allows operation at temperatures from -10°C to 50°C and provides resistance to harsh environmental conditions. The inverter has a protection rating of IP20.
