The entire assembly is enclosed by a common static shield composed of laminated metallic foil and an outer sheath of black rubber-grade PVC (PVC). Special versions are also available: oil-resistant (YKSLYekw-Nr-O), enhanced fire-retardant (YnKSLYekw-Nr), and those designed for outdoor installation or direct burial in soil (YvKSLYekw-Nr).
