Application and Media

The valve is intended for systems conveying water, oils, and other non-aggressive media toward carbon steel — without chemical reaction with the body material. It operates correctly in district heating networks, water supply installations, air conditioning systems, and other industrial circuits. It complies with the requirements of Directive 97/23/EC for fluids of Group 2.

Construction and Installation

A reduced bore ball valve with F07 flanged connection ensures tightness and resistance to pressures up to 40 bar (PN40). The body is made of carbon steel, while the seals are constructed from materials resistant to temperature and the working medium — minimizing the risk of leaks during cyclic opening and closing. Flanged installation allows for quick connection to pipelines compliant with standard PN-EN 1092-1, without the need for threading. The bore dimensions (Ødk 40 mm) and flange dimensions (ØDz 165 mm) are standard for DN50, facilitating replacement or integration with existing installations.

Advantages and Operating Conditions

Operating pressure from 1.6 to 4.0 MPa enables use in both low-pressure domestic installations and high-pressure industrial circuits. A weight of 7.9 kg makes the valve light enough for manual handling during installation, yet heavy enough to avoid vibrations under flow. The reduced bore lowers cost and body size without significantly affecting flow capacity in typical applications. The standard handle enables quick manual control; optionally, a worm gear reducer or intermediate gearbox can be mounted for automation.
