The DUA300Z pole saw is designed for safely pruning branches located at hard-to-reach heights, eliminating the need for ladders or heavy gasoline-powered machines. By connecting two 18 V LXT® batteries in series, the tool achieves a working voltage of 36 V, resulting in a high chain speed of up to 20 m/s. This performance enables efficient cutting of branches with a diameter matching the guide bar length, namely 30 cm (12 inches). The total length of the tool is approximately 247 cm, providing the operator with a working reach at height of up to 4.4 m, depending on the user's height.

The brushless (BLDC) motor not only ensures long tool life and eliminates the need for maintenance but also delivers higher torque with lower energy consumption. When encountering thicker branches, the user can activate the Boost mode, which temporarily increases the current limit, enabling cutting of tougher materials without the risk of chain jamming. Notably, the motor is positioned at the lower part of the extension pole, significantly improving the tool's balance and reducing hand fatigue during extended overhead work.

Ergonomics and Professional-Grade Construction

The design of this pole saw emphasizes comfort and safety when working in challenging terrain conditions. The cutting head features a slim profile, facilitating maneuvering among dense branches without the risk of snagging on other tree elements. The telescopic pole is tool-free adjustable, allowing quick adaptation of the extension length to specific needs or working conditions. A special hook is integrated into the cutting head, enabling easy removal of pruned branch fragments directly from the tree—no need to descend for every piece of wood.

The chain lubrication system relies on gravity-fed oil from a transparent tank with a capacity of 160 ml. This allows the operator to visually monitor the lubricant level without removing any covers. The tank caps are retractable, minimizing the risk of damage during work in dense foliage. The tool also features automatic main switch shut-off and smooth chain speed control via the trigger, providing precision when cutting delicate twigs or thick trunks.

It is important to note that the DUA300Z model is sold as a "body" version – without batteries and charger. This allows flexible use of existing MAKITA LXT® batteries with capacities ranging from 2 Ah to 6 Ah (excluding models BL1811G, BL1813G, and BL1815G). The set includes complete accessories: a 30 cm guide bar with a chain having a 3/8" pitch and 1.1 mm bar groove width (46 links), a file with holder, an Allen key, and a "Harness" type strap facilitating weight distribution during overhead work. The battery cover also serves as an auxiliary handle for better control of the tool.
