Performance and flexibility for lawn care

A cordless lawnmower with a 43 cm cutting width is the solution that eliminates the need for cables or noisy petrol engines. The device is powered by two 18 V batteries, effectively providing 36 V, and allows mowing lawns up to approximately 575 m² on a single full charge of the set. This means there is no need to interrupt work halfway through the garden to plug in an extension cord or refuel. This system is particularly convenient for users who already own Li-Ion batteries from the LXT series – the mower supports cells with capacities ranging from 1.5 Ah to 6.0 Ah, offering great flexibility in selecting operating time.

The set includes a complete starter kit: two 5.0 Ah batteries (model BL1850B) with built-in charge level indicators and a dual charger DC18RD. This charger allows simultaneous charging of both cells, significantly reducing downtime between mowing sessions.

Functionality and working comfort

A key element of the design is the ability to precisely adjust the cutting height to the current needs of the garden. The central adjustment covers as many as 13 settings, enabling quick and convenient parameter changes without the need for additional tools. Such flexibility is essential under changing weather conditions or with different grass types.

The device supports operation in three different modes depending on user needs: collecting grass into a large 50-liter grass bag (equipped with a fill-level indicator), side discharge for taller grass or wet conditions, or utilizing the mulching function (shredding), which requires purchasing a dedicated attachment supplied by the manufacturer. This allows for natural fertilization of the lawn with clippings left on the surface.

The electric motor features a soft start and an electric blade brake, enhancing safety during sudden work interruptions or changes in maneuvering direction. The mower has no wheel drive – it is a "manual push" model, making it lighter and easier to transport and store (total weight approximately 16.8–17.5 kg).

Durability and technical application

The device construction is designed with challenging garden conditions in mind. The use of XPT (Xtreme Protection Technology) ensures enhanced resistance to dust and moisture, protecting the machine's interior from damage caused by working in rain or amidst grass dust. The housing is made of durable polypropylene, which is lightweight and resistant to mechanical impacts.

For installers and service technicians, system compatibility is also important: the device is not compatible with older battery types without electronics (BL181xG series) or very small cells BL1815 (1.3 Ah). All other LXT series models are fully compatible. The device dimensions are approximately 1490 x 460 x 1045 mm (length x width x height), facilitating storage in a garage or garden shed after the fieldwork season. The no-load blade rotational speed is 3600 rpm, ensuring clean cutting even of dense turf.

It is worth noting that the full range of operational data includes the nominal voltage of two Li-Ion cells (2 x 18 V), translating to an operating range capable of servicing a garden up to approximately 575 m² using the supplied 5 Ah batteries. The standard cutting width for this class of device is 43 cm, and the grass bag capacity is as high as 50 liters, minimizing work interruptions for emptying the container. Height adjustment is centrally controlled across 13 settings, and the absence of wheel drive has been intentionally adopted to reduce total weight to approximately 17 kg, facilitating manual maneuvering of the device. An additional advantage is the XPT protection level, guaranteeing resistance to weather conditions and grass dust as a standard feature of the DC18RD, along with the grass bag fill-level indicator as a user-friendly function supporting operational convenience.
