Interrupteur de fin de course PEM2G25X monopositionnel A37-B91X
Application and Operation in Harsh Conditions
The PEM2G25X series limit switch is a device designed for precise detection of mechanical component positions in industrial automation. Its key feature is the use of a perpendicular roller actuator, enabling reliable detection of objects even during lateral or angled movement. Thanks to the high housing resistance (protection rating IP67) and construction from metal with powder coating, the device operates flawlessly in environments rich in dust, moisture, or direct water splashes.
Special attention should be paid to the contact configuration: this model features 1 normally open (NO) contact and 1 normally closed (NC) contact. This universal solution allows simultaneous control of both "start" and "safety" signals within a single operating cycle. The positive separation (snap-action) switching function ensures immediate response upon exceeding the threshold, which is critical for machines with rapid movements. Additionally, the use of forced separation guarantees safe and rapid circuit opening even in the event of actuator jamming – a standard requirement in many safety applications, although the product itself is not certified as a component of a dedicated safety circuit (SIL/PL).
Benefits for Installation and Mounting
For installers, ease of integration and connection durability are paramount. This model stands out with its cable connection, eliminating the need for additional sockets or connectors when mounting in hard-to-reach locations. The cable ensures a sealed connection immediately after installation, accelerating assembly work.
- Universal dimensions: With a housing width of 35 mm and height of 16 mm, the device fits into standard control cabinets and on machine arms without requiring large mounting holes.
- Wide temperature range: The device maintains full functionality from -25 °C to +70 °C, making it suitable for both heated production halls and outdoor applications or cold storage facilities.
- Current capacity: Despite its compact design, the switch handles currents up to 3 A at 125 V AC and 1.5 A at 230 V AC. In DC circuits (e.g., contactor control), the current ratings are 0.22 A at 125 V and 1.1 A at 24 V, respectively.
The device's current capabilities vary with the rated voltage: at 24 V DC, currents up to 1.1 A can be utilized, whereas at 125 V, the maximum current for AC-15 loads is 3 A, dropping to 0.22 A for DC-13 loads. At the higher voltage of 230 V, the device supports currents up to 1.5 A in AC-15 circuits and up to 0.1 A in DC-13 circuits. These parameters allow flexible adaptation of the switch to various load types within control systems.
Construction and Mechanical Resistance
The powder-coated metal housing not only protects the interior against corrosion but also ensures resistance to mechanical impacts typical of industrial environments. The plastic roller on the actuator minimizes friction during contact with the detected object, reducing wear on both the switch itself and the mechanism controlling it. The overall device length is approximately 84.8 mm, enabling installation even with limited working space in front of the sensor.
The absence of a built-in visual status indicator means that the operating state must be monitored via external signaling devices or voltage measurement across the contacts – a typical solution for devices mounted inside cabinets or hidden behind machine guards, where visual inspection is unnecessary during normal operation. Due to the lack of an electronic interface (purely mechanical operation), the device exhibits high reliability and no risk of failure caused by electromagnetic interference (EMI).
