Réduction/rétrécisseur excentrique DN150 x 100, fonte grise sans emboîtement KML KUBERG150/100
Application in harsh environmental conditions
This connecting element is a key component in KML sewage systems, designed to connect pipes of different diameters – in this case, a transition from DN150 to DN100. Thanks to its socketless grey cast iron construction, this reducer is intended for wastewater discharge installations with increased chemical aggressiveness. Such conditions are often encountered in catering facilities, cafeterias, bathhouses, hospitals, or care homes, where wastewater may contain substances that lower pH or contain salts.
The system is effective not only inside public utility buildings (offices, hotels, airports) but also in places exposed to direct atmospheric factors. Due to its high resistance to moisture and temperature fluctuations, the fitting can be installed outdoors, for example, as part of the drainage system for bridges or viaducts. It is worth noting that although the material is durable, additional protection with anti-corrosion coatings is required in highly aggressive soils (peat, marshy, or clayey).
Installation flexibility and structural durability
One of the main advantages of this solution is the possibility of integrating it with various installation methods. The reducer can be safely laid under the floor, in a sand bedding, or even directly encased in concrete without the risk of damaging the material structure. This is important for installers working on the construction of new facilities or the modernization of existing sewage systems.
The material used in production guarantees:
- Non-flammability – the element does not contribute to the spread of fire.
- Non-toxicity – safe for the environment and users.
- Longevity – resistance to corrosion and mechanical wear over years of operation.
In case of installation in difficult soil conditions or under high chemical load from wastewater, the use of additional sealing tapes or plastic sleeves as a protective layer is recommended.
Areas of application and technical limitations
The choice of this system depends on the specifics of the facility and the soil conditions. In facilities such as hospitals, care homes, or hotels, resistance to wastewater with increased chemical aggressiveness is crucial. Similarly, in office buildings or airports, resistance to high operational loads is required. For outdoor installations, such as bridge and viaduct drainage, the material's resistance to moisture and low temperatures is essential.
However, particular caution should be exercised when laying pipelines in highly aggressive soils – such as peat, marshy, or clayey soils, as well as silt and highly contaminated soils. In these cases, the cast iron construction alone may not be sufficient, and additional anti-corrosion protection using tapes or plastic sleeves becomes necessary. Thanks to the possibility of direct concreting and laying in sand bedding, this reducer offers great flexibility during underfloor installation works.
The KUBERG150/100 reducer is a technical solution focused on functionality and the long-term operational safety of the sewage system. Its socketless design facilitates rapid installation while maintaining joint tightness, even when changing the pipeline diameter.
