Flexible cable for frequency inverters – reliability and safety
This double-shielded 1kV flexible cable, designated TF-EMV-UV-2XSLCH-J 4G4, is designed for demanding applications, particularly for powering motors connected to frequency inverters. Its construction and materials guarantee not only effective protection against electromagnetic interference, but also high resistance to environmental conditions and long-term reliability. The cable is halogen-free, increasing safety in the event of a fire.
Construction and properties
This cable is distinguished by carefully selected materials and advanced construction. A durable outer jacket made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) protects the cores from mechanical damage and weathering. Four flexible stranded copper cores (class 5), insulated with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) rubber, provide optimal flexibility and conductivity. Two shields – a braid and a tinned aluminum tape – minimize electromagnetic interference, which is crucial when working with frequency inverters. A green-yellow protective conductor provides additional safety.
The cable has a wide operating temperature range: from -40°C to +90°C (stationary) and from -5°C to +90°C (flexible). It is UV-resistant, allowing it to be used both indoors and outdoors. The minimum bending radius is 10x the cable diameter for diameters up to 12 mm, 15x for diameters 12-20 mm and 20x for diameters above 20 mm – making installation easier even in tight spaces. The core cross-section is 4 mm², and the rated voltage U is 1000 V.

The materials used in production are free of silicone, cadmium and substances that interfere with painting, making it environmentally friendly and safe to use. Meets the requirements of EMC standards (EN 55011 and DIN VDE 0875 part 11) and self-extinguishing and flame-retardant tests (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1).
