Flexible halogen-free cable for industrial applications and installations

This flexible control cable, designated OZ-500 HMH 2x16, is designed for demanding industrial applications. It features high fire and oil resistance, making it an ideal choice for environments where safety and reliability are crucial. This cable is particularly recommended for use in machines, conveyors, production lines, as well as in the construction of installations in the metallurgical and steel industries.

Construction and properties

The OZ-500 HMH 2x16 cable has multi-strand copper conductors, twisted according to VDE 0295 class 5, BS 6360 class 5 and IEC 60228 class 5 standards. The core insulation is made of halogen-free TI6 mixture, ensuring safety in the event of a fire – it limits the release of toxic gases and smoke. The cores are black with white numbers for easy identification. The cable has an outer jacket made of halogen-free TM7 mixture in grey (RAL 7001), which further increases its resistance to external factors. The cable is metered for convenient dispensing and installation.

It is worth noting its wide operating temperature range – from -40°C to +70°C for fixed installation and from -15°C to +70°C during mobile operation. The minimum bending radius is 12.5 x outer diameter for mobile applications and 4 x outer diameter for fixed installations.

Application and compliance with standards

The OZ-500 HMH 2x16 cable is used as a measuring, control and steering cable in various industries. It will work in both fixed and mobile installations (with occasional movement). It is not intended for applications subjected to continuous mechanical stress or frequent movements causing cable stretching. It can be used in dry, wet and humid rooms, also surface-mounted. The product meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 17.6 mm and the core cross-section is 16 mm².
