This shielded PVC cable, designated PAAR-TRONIC-CY, is designed for reliable transmission of data and control signals. The cable's construction minimizes electromagnetic interference, making it an ideal solution in environments prone to interference. This cable is used in both industrial installations and building automation systems.

Construction and properties

The PAAR-TRONIC-CY cable is characterized by careful construction, ensuring high signal quality and durability. Twisted pair copper conductors, insulated with PVC, reduce noise and improve resistance to interference. A copper braided shield further protects against external electromagnetic fields. Foil-wrapped pairs of conductors and a tinned drain wire ensure stable connections and facilitate grounding. Made from high-quality materials, the cable is flexible and resistant to mechanical damage.

• Construction: 16 conductors twisted in pairs, each insulated with PVC – provides flexibility and ease of installation.

• Shielding: Copper braid effectively protects against electromagnetic interference – crucial in industrial environments.

• Insulation: Made of PVC (TI2), meeting DIN VDE 0281 part 1 – guarantees safety and durability.

• Conductors: Copper, unbleached, stranded (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295 / IEC 60228) – ensure good conductivity and flexibility.

• Color coding: Conductors marked with colors according to DIN 47100 – facilitates identification and improves work organization.

• Temperature range: The cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range – from -5°C to +80°C (flexible) and from -30°C to +80°C (stationary).

The cable meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0812 and DIN VDE 0814 standards and has a fire reaction class of Eca (EN 13501-6). It provides electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and for optimization, it is recommended to have a two-sided contact of the braid with the terminals using cable glands.
