Coude à double embout 90° 15 mm – acier carbone galvanisé, à paroi mince, à sertir PC5002 0150000
Application in gas and water installations
This fitting is a dedicated solution for creating leak-tight pipe connections in press-fit systems, particularly in gas installations. Thanks to its 90° angle, it enables precise and aesthetically pleasing changes in pipe direction, which is crucial when installing in hard-to-reach areas or when obstacles must be bypassed. The double-bell design means both ends are prepared for press-fitting, eliminating the need for welding or threaded connections. This is important not only for the speed of installation but, above all, for safety – the absence of open flame during gas installation assembly is a mandatory safety requirement.
Material and resistance to operating conditions
The fitting is made of carbon (alloyed) steel, providing the mechanical strength required for operation under pressure. The maximum working pressure is 16 bar at 20°C, meeting the needs of most standard gas and water installations in residential and public buildings. The product surface is protected by galvanic zinc coating, which shields the steel from corrosion and extends the service life of the installation. It is worth noting that both ends (connection 1 and 2) have an outer diameter of 15 mm, making this component a universal connector for pipes with the same cross-section. The absence of seals within the fitting itself suggests that leak-tightness is ensured by special clamping rings (O-rings) located in the pressing head or inside the press sleeve, which are an integral part of the assembly system.
Key structural features and installation
The precisely manufactured 90° angle facilitates pipe route planning and minimizes the number of intermediate components required during network installation. Both sides are equipped with press sleeves featuring a stop flange, ensuring stable pipe positioning before the pressing process and preventing pipe displacement under pressure. The total length of the component is only 41 mm, allowing tight installation even in narrow technical spaces without the need for additional spacers. The one-piece construction, with no moving parts or additional nuts, ensures a durable connection less susceptible to mechanical damage after installation. The product does not carry UL or FM certifications, meaning its application should be limited to areas covered by local European or national standards for gas installations (e.g., B Press Gas systems).
For the installer, this means a simpler installation process – simply measure the pipe, cut it perpendicular to its axis, and press according to the pressing head manufacturer's instructions. For the end user, safety is guaranteed by the leak-tightness of the connection achieved through precise steel machining and the use of an appropriate anti-corrosive coating. This component has no caps or drain valves – it serves exclusively as a connector and directs the medium flow within the installation. All key parameters, such as the 15 mm diameter and 16 bar working pressure, have been taken into account during the design of this connector for standard piping systems.
