The fitting connects two pipes with an outer diameter of 28 mm, creating a tight and durable joint that requires no additional gaskets or auxiliary components – sealing occurs automatically upon proper pressing.
The material is carbon steel (alloyed), providing adequate mechanical strength against static and dynamic loads. The surface of the component has undergone galvanic zinc plating, increasing corrosion resistance under standard environmental conditions. It is worth noting that the product features a stop flange, which facilitates pipe centering during installation and prevents movement prior to final crimping.
Key Construction Features and Operating Conditions
The component is designed as a one-piece model, eliminating the risk of leaks associated with multi-piece connections. Its construction allows operation in hydraulic systems at a maximum working pressure of 16 bar at a temperature of 20°C. This parameter makes it suitable for most water supply installations and low-temperature heating systems where extreme pressure fluctuations or high operating temperatures do not occur.
For the installer, the total length of the fitting, measuring 38 mm, is also important – this compact dimension allows for tight routing of installations within shafts or above suspended ceilings. The bend angle is exactly 45 degrees, representing a compromise between flow smoothness and occupied space compared to 90-degree elbows.
All key parameters of this model have been optimized for standard installations: pipes with a diameter of 28 mm are connected at an angle of 45°, ensuring smooth flow with a moderate change in direction. The material is carbon steel coated with galvanic zinc, guaranteeing corrosion resistance throughout the entire service life. The system can operate at pressures up to 16 bar at a temperature of 20°C, and thanks to its compact length of 38 mm, it is ideal for tight installation spaces. The entire assembly is implemented using the press-fit system (B-Press), completely eliminating the need for additional rubber gaskets and simplifying the pipe joining process.
Compliance with Standards and Installation Specifics
The product does not carry UL, FM, or LPCB certifications, meaning its application is limited to general construction and industrial installations not covered by these specific standards (e.g., certain fire suppression systems requiring FM certification). The absence of gaskets in the design is due to the fact that sealing is provided by the steel pressing technology itself – there is no risk of drying out or aging of rubber as in crimping systems with EPDM gaskets.
Installation requires the use of a dedicated tool for the B-Press system. Once the joining operation is correctly performed, the connection becomes permanent and irreversible without destroying the fitting. It should be noted that the connection material is alloyed steel, and the surface treatment of both ends is identical (galvanization), ensuring aesthetic and protective consistency throughout the entire installation. The product is not intended for reduction applications – both sides have the same diameter of 28 mm. Due to the absence of additional components such as drain valves or air vents, the fitting serves solely to direct medium flow within the piping system.
