Raccord de réduction en cuivre pour gaz médicaux 15-10 MG5240 0151000

Application in medical and vacuum installations

This reducing connector is a key component for safely joining pipelines in medical gas systems, such as oxygen, nitrogen, medical air, or carbon dioxide. Thanks to the use of phosphorus-deoxidized copper (Cu-DHP) with 99.99% purity, this element guarantees corrosion resistance and maintains the sterility of the medium, which is critical in hospital environments. The design allows for a smooth transition between pipes with diameters of 15 mm and 10 mm, eliminating the need for additional adapters or threaded reducers that could compromise the system's tightness.

Installation specifics and material composition

Both ends of the connector are equipped with push-fit sockets, meaning installation is performed using capillary soldering – both soft and hard (with silver addition). This type of joint creates a durable structure that does not require regular tightening or gasket replacement. The material is high-grade Cu-DHP copper, dedicated to sanitary and technical installations in accordance with the PN-EN 1254 standard. It is worth noting that before packaging, each connector undergoes a cleaning and degreasing process, preventing contamination of the installation with production residues even before its commissioning.

Key structural features and standards

The product meets the rigorous requirements for medical gas installations and vacuum systems. Its simple shape (reducer) minimizes gas flow resistance. The connector features direct socket connections on both ends, ensuring tightness without the use of additional sealing elements. The transition is realized between a pipe with an outer diameter of 15 mm and a 10 mm pipe. The entire assembly is made of high-purity Cu-DHP copper, guaranteeing long-term corrosion resistance under demanding operating conditions.

Thanks to this solution, the installer gains confidence in the tightness of the joint even under large pressure fluctuations in the gas system. The connector is compatible with copper pipes meeting the PN-EN 1057 standard. In case of future disassembly or repair, it should be remembered that the soldered joint is permanently fused – unlike threaded connectors – which necessitates cutting the pipe when replacing the component. However, this is standard practice in professional gas installations, where absolute tightness and the absence of leakage risks due to thread loosening are the top priorities.
