Application and Operating Characteristics
The TCBT 4 800/KB axial fan is a device dedicated to intensive airflow in large duct installations. Its primary function is general ventilation of industrial and utility spaces, such as production halls, large warehouses, underground parking lots, or commercial buildings. Thanks to its design adapted for direct installation within the duct, the device effectively removes contaminants, excess heat, or humidity from high-volume spaces.
This model stands out with high performance, achieving up to 38 500 m³/h at maximum flow. This capacity enables rapid air exchange even in the most inaccessible zones of a facility. The fan operates at a rotational speed of 1470 obr./min, ensuring stable and continuous medium movement. It is worth noting that the device is designed to operate with discharged air temperatures ranging from -40°C to +40°C, making it a universal solution for both cold and moderately hot climates (e.g., near technological heat sources).
Construction and Resistance to External Conditions
A key structural element is the impeller made of aluminum sheet, which has undergone dynamic balancing in accordance with the ISO 1940-1 standard. This minimizes vibrations during operation, resulting in lower noise levels and extended bearing life. The housing is made of steel, protected against corrosion through cataphoretic painting (primer) and coated with a polyester paint layer. Such a solution guarantees resistance to humidity and aggressive atmospheric factors occurring, for example, in greenhouses or breeding facilities (pigsties, poultry houses).
The electric motor is a three-phase asynchronous unit with a rated voltage of 400V (with the possibility of connection at 230/400V), which is standard for devices of this power in industrial installations. The protection class IP 55 ensures effective protection against dust and water jets falling from any direction – important for regular cleaning operations or in environments with high dust content. Thermal insulation class F allows the motor to operate at elevated temperatures without the risk of overheating.
Installation and Adjustment Capabilities
The device is characterized by an airflow direction from the impeller to the motor (HB), which is typical for this type of duct fan. The terminal box is located directly on the housing, facilitating electrical installation without the need for additional external distribution boards. The fan can be mounted both horizontally and vertically, offering great flexibility for the ventilation system designer.
In the case of the three-phase motors used in this model, it is possible to adjust the rotational speed using a frequency inverter (a 5,5 kW inverter is recommended for this specific model). This allows precise adaptation of performance to the current ventilation needs of the facility and energy savings during periods of lower load. Connecting elements are made of stainless steel, further increasing the durability of mechanical connections under difficult operating conditions.
