Simple, one-piece compression coupling for Sanpress XL systems
The 88,9 mm fitting is a press-fit component designed for connections in VIEGA Sanpress XL systems. Both ends have the same diameter – 88,9 mm – and both are compression couplings, meaning it can connect two pipes of the same size without the need for reducers. The construction is one-piece, simplifying installation and eliminating the risk of errors associated with assembling multi-part components.
The ends are made of raw bronze – there is no coating or surface treatment. This is not a defect but a design choice: the bronze material is intended for direct pressing into copper pipes, where its hardness and thermal conductivity support the mechanical joining process. The seal between the pipe and the coupling is made of EPDM – an elastomer with high resistance to temperature, pressure, and chemical environmental factors. This is the same material VIEGA has used in its systems for decades.
The insert with a stop collar ensures precise pipe positioning during pressing – it does not shift during tool operation. There are no valves, air vents, or other additional functions. This is a simple, effective component: pipe-to-pipe connection, without complications.
Installation requires only the appropriate pressing tool and pipes compliant with the Sanpress XL system standard. No soldering, glue, or screws are needed. Simply insert the pipe into the coupling until it stops and press – the connection is immediately hermetic.
This solution is for installers who know that time is money. There is nothing superfluous here: no paint that can be scratched off, no plastic that may expand under heat. Only bronze, EPDM, and precise geometry – exactly as designed by the manufacturer.
