The absence of a drain valve or air vent means this is a pure connecting component that must be integrated into the rest of the system in accordance with the installation design. The seal material (EPDM) is resistant to aging and to the effects of drinking water and heating media, resulting in a long service life for the entire installation without the need for frequent inspections or seal replacements.
