Over the last dozen or so years, we have observed new trends in the area of increasing the efficiency of heat sources. All types of boiler devices or gas heaters based on old-type atmospheric burners are practically becoming obsolete. In their place, PREMIX burners and condensing burners are appearing as standard.

Both standard and industrial heat pumps are increasingly used, replacing somewhat outdated technologies of solid fuel boilers. At the same time, standards are changing in the scope of minimizing heat loss through all types of building partitions, increasingly energy-efficient windows, insulation materials, and also passive technology are appearing. We are also observing an increase in interest in air curtains, the purpose of which is to retain accumulated heat or cooling energy in a given room.
Main advantages of HEATER CONDENS
- high increase in supply air temperature [ΔT] – including at low temperature of the heating medium.
- maximum use of the heat exchanger's heating surface – new "dense" heat exchanger geometry.
- optimized air flow – high air flow temperature at all fan speeds.

The effect of introducing the above changes is a constant decrease in the temperature of the heating medium, which supplies various types of heating and ventilation devices. SONNIGER, as a manufacturer of HEATER water heaters, closely observes these market trends and in response to new standards, introduces a new product to the market - the HEATER CONDENS water heater. HEATER CONDENS is a new line of water heaters dedicated to work with low-temperature
heating media (condensing boilers, industrial heat pumps), which, in accordance with the requirements of EcoDesign 2021, are becoming a new standard in the industry.
At present, the biggest challenge for manufacturers of heating devices is to maximize the temperature of the medium supplied from increasingly efficient heat sources (i.e. a medium with substantially lower thermal energy than before – the widely used 90 or 80°C on the supply). This challenge has caused us to completely redesign the HEATER heater line so that
maximize the heating power at a relatively low heating medium temperature.
Based on analyses and research, we have developed an optimal system of HEATER CONDENS heater parameters, which will allow you to enjoy good heating effects also when working on low-temperature installations. Nowadays, it is not the air flow that determines the efficiency of the device, but the heating power and the possible increase in air temperature! In HEATER CONDENS heaters, we have optimized the flow in such a way as to eliminate situations that often appear on the market, in which the heater generates a "cold" air flow at higher speeds, which often results from the oversizing of the fan flow and, at the same time, undersizing of the heat exchanger. In the case of a low-temperature heating medium
this effect is intensified. In HEATER CONDENS devices, apart from the optimally selected air flow, we have also thickened the construction of the heat exchanger itself - we have reduced the spacing between the lamellas, increased their thickness, and increased the number of heating circuits - all in order to obtain the maximum ΔT effect in terms of transferring the thermal energy of the heating medium to the air supplied to the room. This change, quite bold on the one hand, and obvious on the other hand, introduces a completely new perspective on the use of HEATER CONDENS heaters in combination with low-temperature heat sources.
As one of the first companies on the market, SONNIGER also implements a new standard for the presentation of reliable technical data. All technical parameters of HEATER CONDENS in terms of air flow, heating power, generated temperature increase and operating noise have been positively verified by the Accredited Testing Laboratory ETELAB L1579. Associate member of EUROVENT since 2015. Eurovent is the European Industrial Association for the Indoor Environment (HVAC).

Our next challenge is also the popularization of standard (GUARD) and industrial (GUARDPRO) air curtains. Together with designers and contractors, we must take up the challenge of securing heat losses through open gates, doors, docks, etc. No optimizations in the range of medium temperature or increase in insulation of building partitions are justified if, for example, in winter we open the entrance gate to the hall for 15 minutes and allow our valuable heat to escape uncontrolled outside. This is the task for the GUARDPRO industrial curtain. The same applies to standard GUARD curtains - intended for all types of stores,
banks, gas stations, other commercial facilities.
