The Fronius Ohmpilot is a consumer controller designed to use excess solar energy to heat water. Thanks to the continuously adjustable power from 0 to 9 kW, excess PV energy can be
be used for highly efficient use and powering of household consumers.

Ohmpilot is primarily used for the intelligent control of heating elements to supply hot water in boilers and buffer tanks, but can also be used for infrared heaters or towel rail radiators. Solar energy can therefore supply a family house with an average water consumption level with most of the hot water needs in the period April-October. The result is a maximum level of self-sufficiency, reduced CO2 emissions in the household and no need to run the main hot water supply of the building during the summer months.
