However, before water reaches your tap, it travels through hundreds of kilometers of steel, lead, or PVC pipes, and is armed with an unpleasant "shield" in the form of chlorine, which protects against the development of bacteria. This definitely worsens its smell and taste and is a justified reason why we do not want to drink it straight from the tap, even though it is much cheaper. Fortunately, there is a way to quickly return "tap water" to the state it was in before its long "journey." Purifying water from impurities and chlorine is quick, cheap, and ecological.
