The use of two-piece reducers in the garden
Various types of connectors and connectors are used in garden work involving water. Among them, the two-way connector plays an important role. Garden hose connectors allow for their detachable connection. This means that the hoses connected in this way can be disconnected quickly and easily at any time - without the use of tools. Modern mechanisms in the connectors facilitate connecting and disconnecting garden accessories.
Of course, the resulting connection is (or at least should be) 100% tight. A detachable connection is usually intended to increase the range of the garden hose and to easily connect it to the water intake. To connect two hoses using a two-piece, a quick connector must be installed at each end. A special variant of the connector is the reducing coupler . It is used to detachably connect a reducing hose, e.g. 1" with a hose with a quick connector, the diameter of which is larger, e.g. 1/2", 5/8" or 3/4" (depending on the selected model).
By using two-piece reducers, you can connect several garden hoses with different cross-sections in series in your irrigation system. Thanks to this, you will avoid leaks and will reach the plants located in the furthest corners of the plot with water. This is a remedy for a large or complex-shaped garden.
Brass connectors for garden hoses
Garden hose fittings are most often made of plastic, e.g. polypropylene or ABS, or metal, e.g. brass. In both cases, they can be durable, practical and solidly finished products. However, brass double connectors offer maximum durability. These are the highest quality connectors, designed for reliable and long-term operation in difficult environmental conditions. Brass connectors are suitable for connecting elements of irrigation systems for small, medium and large gardens and crops, where absolute tightness of the installation and purity of the transported water are required.
They are used to create solid connections not only in hydraulic installations, but also in heating and gas installations. Thanks to additional coatings, such as galvanizing, these elements are resistant to the destructive effects of atmospheric factors. They do not corrode, do not react with water or are saturated with odors. Moreover, the copper contained in the composition has antibacterial properties. The only disadvantage of brass double-pieces is the price, which is sometimes (at least) twice as high as that of plastic models.
