In 1999, Eaton introduced the compact control relay "easy", which revolutionized traditional manual control. With new features such as Ethernet communication, easy quickly gained recognition in the industry. Over the next 25 years, the easy series evolved from the easy400 to the modern easyE4, becoming a leader in its field.
Intuitiveness and innovation
From the very beginning, the easy series products were intuitive to use and allowed for quick implementation of projects. Over time, however, these relays have gained many improvements that have transformed them into controllers. Currently, the easyE4 offers, among others, a built-in Web server, the possibility of expanding up to 11 modules, a display with a setting option and 4 programming languages. This year, Eaton introduced a new functionality - communication with the AWS (Amazon Web Services) cloud, enabling the collection, processing and management of data via the Internet.
The possibilities of using the easyE4 controller are practically unlimited, perhaps only through the imagination of the person creating the application. From the design of an intelligent greenhouse, control of construction machines, water and electricity distribution machines on campsites, control of the ventilation unit, as well as heating and photovoltaics, through home automation systems.
AWS Cloud Integration
Eaton is constantly developing its products, introducing new features and improvements, ensuring that the Eaton easy series remains at the forefront of automation innovation. This year, the company introduced a direct connection to Amazon Web Services. It is one of the most popular cloud platforms in the world. Data from easyE4 devices can be securely transferred to the cloud in accordance with the latest cybersecurity standards. In the cloud, this data can be used to monitor processes, integrate with artificial intelligence functions and generate automated commands.
Secure data transfer
The cloud connection is via the MQTT standard, a popular messaging protocol. Sending data securely to the cloud allows users to take advantage of AWS services such as data storage, analysis, and visualization. This enables the implementation of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, from remote monitoring to machine learning.
The easy series from Eaton represents 25 years of innovation and continuous development that have transformed traditional controls into advanced automation systems adapted to the needs of modern electricians and automation engineers.
