Every installation, even made of the best materials, becomes damaged after some time or requires modification (e.g. by adding an additional branch). Currently, the best and fastest solution for repairing a damaged section or making an additional approach is to use Gebo Quick cast iron compression fittings and Gebo Clamps repair clamps. Gebo Quick are made of malleable cast iron, hot-dip galvanized and galvanized.
The media are water and compressed air. The available types are: connectors with external thread (QA) and internal thread (QI), tee type (QT) and with a clamping ring on both sides (QO), thanks to which you can connect a steel pipe with a PE pipe and thus obtain a permanent connection of the old , steel installation with modern polyethylene. The permissible deviation from the axis of the connected pipes may be 3°.
Gebo Quick cast iron compression fittings
Gebo fittings are intended for repairs, modernization and expansion of pipelines. The connectors have a mechanism of steel clamping rings patented in 1918, which, combined with a sealing ring made of NBR rubber, allows you to connect any pipe (steel, black steel, PE) in a simple, quick and cheap way. The process of installing the connectors is very simple. and proceeds as follows: first, we cut off the end of the pipe at an angle of 90° relative to the axis of the pipe (the edge of the pipe must be smooth and undeformed, all impurities and burrs must also be cleaned) then we slide the subsequent components of the Gebo connector onto the pipe: nut, clamping ring (conical surface in direction of the nut), the pressure ring and the sealing ring (which should be inserted 10 mm from the end of the pipe). The next stage is to insert the end of the pipe into the sealing socket in the body, while checking the correct fit. The last stage is to screw the clamping nut to the connector body, paying special attention to ensure that the pipe does not rotate. All types of Gebo Quick connectors are available in diameters from ½ to 2". Working pressure: compressed air 10 bar, water 10 bar; max. temperature up to 80°.
Gebo Clamps repair clamps
Another important group in Gebo's offer are repair and assembly-repair clamps made of ductile cast iron, included in the Gebo Clamps range. We distinguish here: DSK, ANB and DS clamps. DSK clamps are made of ductile iron and intended for repairs of steel and PE pipelines. They are used to seal holes, cracks, corrosion spots and leaks caused by frost. ANB clamps are made of the same materials as DSK, but they have a side outlet with internal thread and can be used to build drainage in water installations and heating pipes. Both products are sealed with EPDM rubber, approved for use in drinking water. PN 16 bar, max. temp. 90°C.
