What is the process of dimming LED lighting?
The process of dimming LED lighting is very simple and easy to understand. The dimming signal is carried through an additional pair of wires in the signal input dimmers. This means that the signal uses different protocols as well as a variable resistor. The signals can then be connected to the controller using a pair of control wires. The LED dimmer perfectly regulates the light intensity obtained from lamps using light-emitting diodes. The dimming and brightening effect is achieved by supplying variable voltage, which can be controlled both digitally and analogously. Digital control is carried out by an appropriately selected microcontroller, while analog control is carried out using a potentiometer. The dimmer for LED bulbs can work with, for example, a touch switch. There are even models with an interface that have buttons, knobs or even screens. By choosing LED dimmers, you can not only create atmospheric lighting depending on the climate, but also the life of LED bulbs increases by up to 70%. Indeed, the savings here are really big and you will quickly feel it in the amount of electricity bills, which will, of course, be lower.
Are all LED bulbs dimmable?
The answer to this question is simple - not all LED bulbs are dimmable. Therefore, you should pay attention to whether the bulb is dimmable. It is worth knowing that light bulbs and LEDs can only be dimmed using dimmers designed for LED lighting. This information is always included on the lamp or bulb packaging. Standard LED dimmers are compatible with a wide range of LED bulbs. Most often, a special symbol or inscription dimmable appears on the packaging of dimmable bulbs, which means that the light source is dimmable.
How to connect an LED dimmer?
Connecting an LED dimmer is not very difficult or time-consuming and you can do it yourself. First, remember to turn off the fuses. This will prevent you from getting an electric shock. At the very beginning, you need to check the dimmer connection diagram. The process itself focuses on the conductors - phase, protective and neutral. In the next step, unscrew the tightening screws. You can do this with a screwdriver. When you have completed this stage of work, remove the switch and the terminal wires. You also need to check whether screws can be screwed to the box. Also check whether the box is properly installed. This means that it cannot change its position while you are working. It's still not everything. Now connect the wires to the dimmer. For this purpose, you will need a product diagram. The protective and neutral conductors should be connected to each other using connectors. However, you must connect the phase wire to the L terminal, which is located in the dimmer. We have one more piece of advice for you here - always check the markings in the instructions, as this will speed up the work and ensure safety. At the very end you need to turn on the fuse and check if everything works properly.
Which dimmer for LED bulbs should you choose?
LED dimmers are available in many variants. It is worth choosing functional and easy-to-use devices. The ARIA Ospel universal dimmer is worth attention. It is, as the name suggests, a universal product and at the same time easy to use. Its LED load range is 100 W. Its programming is also extremely simple and, importantly, it can be adapted to the user's needs, so depending on your preferences, you can change the light intensity, which will allow for significant savings.
The LED lighting dimmer for installation in a box is extremely effective. Its installation is two-wire, so it is extremely quick. It provides a protection level of IP 20. It is mounted in a flush-mounted box. It is made of damage-resistant and very durable plastic. The surface is matte and very elegant. The product is tight and resistant to contamination.
