Application of sleeves in underfloor heating systems
Compression sleeves are part of complete pipe and fitting systems, ensuring reliable operation of underfloor heating systems. The use of sleeves allows you to connect the pipe to a valve or other hydraulic device. The connection obtained is safe and durable. It is worth choosing a system that offers connection through compression sleeves, because it allows you to avoid many assembly errors. A sleeve ring is pushed onto the expanded end of the pipe. The resulting connection is immediately tight.
In underfloor heating systems, support sleeves are also mounted, mainly made of stainless steel. This type of sleeve is designed to stiffen the end of the pipe pressed into the fitting. Thanks to this, the end of the pipe has a circular cross-section.
The sleeve in the underfloor heating system also has a protective function. The floor slab expands under the influence of the heat of the heating pipes. To prevent damage to the slab, an edge tape and expansion joints are used. When underfloor heating cables pass through an expansion joint, it is important that they are properly secured. A special protective sleeve (conduit) is used for this purpose. It should be at least 20 cm long. The protective sleeve should be secured so that mortar does not get inside during the screed.
