The use of sleeves in underfloor heating systems
Compression sleeves are part of complete pipe and fitting systems, ensuring reliable operation of underfloor heating installations. The use of a sleeve allows you to connect the pipe to a valve or other hydraulic device. The resulting connection is safe and durable. It is worth choosing a system that offers connection via clamping sleeves because it allows you to avoid many assembly errors. A sleeve ring is placed on the flared end of the pipe. The resulting connection is immediately tight.
Underfloor heating systems also feature supporting sleeves, mainly made of stainless steel. This type of sleeve is intended to stiffen the end of the pipe pressed into the fitting. Thanks to this, the end of the pipe has a circular cross-section.
The sleeve in the underfloor heating system also has a protective function. Under the influence of the heat of the heating pipes, the floor slab expands. To prevent damage to the slab, edge tape and expansion joints are used. When underfloor heating cables pass through expansion joints, it is important that they are properly secured. A special protective sleeve (conduit) is used for this purpose. It should be at least 20 cm long. The protective sleeve should be secured to prevent mortar from getting inside during pouring.
