However, we are dealing with situations where replacing previously used lighting fixtures, especially those that are still in good technical condition, with modern but much more expensive integrated LED fixtures is not always economically justified. Of course, we cannot adopt this approach everywhere, because standards for lighting streets, expressways and public facilities require investment in modern lighting systems.
On the other hand, new trends in ecology are emerging, pointing to extending the life of efficient devices to serve users even longer, thereby avoiding the creation of more waste. There are intermediate solutions that in some way provide users with improved lighting conditions while saving money, avoiding larger investments related to replacing the entire lighting system with a new one.
