The recruitment of applications for the Moje Prąd 5.0 program will start soon. Previous editions included subsidies for photovoltaic installations, this year's edition will also include, among others, heat pumps, used by an increasing number of users.
Moje Prąd is a government program of subsidies for photovoltaic installations installed by individual customers to meet their own energy needs. The latest edition, Moje Prąd 5.0, will expand the group of potential beneficiaries, as it will also be possible to apply for a subsidy for a heat pump .
Financing for heat pumps in the Moje Prąd 5.0 program
My Electricity 5.0 will not be the first government subsidy program for heat pumps. This solution is already proposed by the Clean Air program. Subsidies for these devices in the Moje Prąd 5.0 program are to have identical or similar amounts, ranging from PLN 4.4 thousand. PLN to 19.4 thousand zloty. The difference, however, is that in Moje Prąd 5.0 you will be able to receive money not only when replacing a heat pump with a heat pump, but also, for example, when replacing a gas boiler. As Anna Moskwa, Minister of Climate and Environment, announced during the meeting in Kozienice, Moje Prąd 5.0 will also cover this type of building thermal modernization.
Importantly, there will be no income criteria in the program. The same eligibility period will also be maintained as in the previous edition, i.e. February 1, 2020. The subsidy will still apply only to photovoltaic installations that are settled in the net-billing system.

Who can become a beneficiary in the Moje Prąd 5.0 program?
As in previous editions, subsidies from the Moje Prąd 5.0 program will be available to natural persons who generate electricity to cover their own energy needs. The condition is to have an agreement concluded with the Distribution Network Operator, which concerns the introduction of electricity generated from micro-installations into the network.
In the new edition, natural persons who plan to install a heat pump and a solar collector will also be able to become beneficiaries of the program. This is a significant novelty in relation to the rules in force so far, when the program concerned only photovoltaic installations. Enriching it with the possibility of obtaining funding for heat pumps is a response to the growing popularity of these devices and developing ecological trends.
Subsidies for heat pumps in the Moje Prąd 5.0 program
The amount of subsidies for individual types of heat pumps in the Moje Prąd 5.0 program will most likely be the same as in the Clean Air program. This means that we can count on the following grant amounts:
- for an air-to-air heat pump - up to PLN 4.4 thousand zloty;
- for an air-water heat pump - up to PLN 12.6 thousand zloty;
- for an air-water heat pump with a higher energy class - up to PLN 19.4 thousand zloty;
- for a ground heat pump - up to PLN 28,000. zloty.

Installing a heat pump is a very good idea from both economic and ecological points of view. Not only does it make heating your home cheaper, but it is also much more environmentally friendly. Of course, to be satisfied, we must make a good choice of device before we even apply for a subsidy under the Moje Prąd 5.0 program.
