This is a technical solution that became popular in terms of the possibilities of choice for single-family homes only a dozen or so years ago and has been systematically gaining supporters since then. The reason for this popularity is that recuperation completes the idea of a home that is simultaneously comfortable and energy-efficient. Without recuperation, combining these expected values is not possible.
In practice, recuperation is a ventilation unit with a heat exchanger and a network of channels leading to all rooms in the house, through which clean, fresh air is supplied to dry rooms, such as the living room and bedrooms, which is at the same time heated by the heat received from the air expelled outside from humid rooms - the bathroom and kitchen.
If the energy saving effect is to be complete, the house must be airtight and the recuperator itself must work in a balanced manner. This does not happen automatically, because the air in separate exhaust and supply channels has different density and encounters variable resistance from the filters, which wear out unevenly.
Therefore, in order for the recuperator to properly fulfill its task, it must have an active system for monitoring air flows and balancing them. This is ensured by the Constant Flow system, which constantly modulates the power of the fans to achieve a balance of air flows supplied to the house and expelled outside.
A way to easily hide ventilation - EasyFlow duct system for single-family homes
The concept of the comprehensive Vasco recuperation system was developed specifically for single-family homes. In addition to all the technical features that guarantee energy efficiency through reliable operation, Vasco also aims at the aesthetics of the houses. An important role in this respect is played by the unique EasyFlow channel system , through which air is supplied to each room. These are channels that are easy to build in and hide in floor layers, so they do not disturb the interior with random constructions, which happen with a large ventilation system.
EasyFlow channels are ready-made elements with seals, the most important feature of which is that they are only 6 cm high with the possibility of transmitting 75 m3/h in one line, which is a record value in the industry. Thanks to this, the installation is easy to hide in one layer of polystyrene on the ceiling between storeys or in the minimum height of the ceiling construction. The Vasco 225 Compact LE heat recovery unit enables the installation of a heat recovery system also in small houses. It offers full versatility of solutions in a very compact body. This small and quiet heat recovery unit can be easily placed in a laundry room, cloakroom, hall or even in the kitchen, because its size allows it to be hidden inside a standard hanging kitchen cabinet.
