When building a house, every investor wants it to be beautiful, comfortable and energy-efficient. Success in combining these goals is not possible without a ventilation system with heat recovery, i.e. recuperation.

Energy-efficient house - the primary goal of investors
Building a house is one of the most important goals in most people's lives, because a house is associated with the most important values: family, safety, comfort, health, tradition. If there are so many expectations when building a house, dreams and accidentally collected advice from trusted, but not always competent, friends and relatives often prevail when choosing solutions.
When designing an energy-efficient house, it is important to use continuous thermal insulation without bridges and tight windows. Only a house sealed like a thermos will retain the heat generated in it during the winter. In order for the air to be breathable in a tight house, it is necessary to efficiently exchange the air for fresh air, i.e. ventilation with heat recovery, which is commonly called recuperation. Thanks to it, it is possible to minimize heat losses and maximize the comfort of residents while reducing operating costs.
A necessary condition for energy efficiency and comfort - Heat recovery
This is a technical solution that became popular in terms of choice for single-family houses only a dozen or so years ago and has been systematically gaining supporters since then. The reason for this popularity is that heat recovery completes the idea of a house that should be comfortable and energy-efficient at the same time. Without recuperation, combining these expected values is not possible.
In practice, heat recovery is a ventilation unit with a heat exchanger and a network of ducts leading to all rooms of the house, through which clean, fresh air is supplied to dry rooms, such as living rooms and bedrooms, and at the same time heated by heat received from the air thrown outside from humid rooms - bathrooms and kitchens.
If the energy-saving effect is to be complete, the house must be airtight and the recuperator itself must operate in a balanced manner. This does not happen automatically, because the air in separate exhaust and supply ducts has different density and encounters variable resistance from the filters, which wear out unevenly.
Therefore, in order for the recuperator to fulfill its function properly, it must have an active system for monitoring and balancing air flows. This is ensured by the Constant Flow system, which constantly modulates the fan power to achieve a balance of air flows supplied into the house and exhausted outside.
A way to easily hide ventilation - the EasyFlow duct system for single-family houses
The concept of the comprehensive Vasco heat recovery system was developed especially for single-family houses. In addition to all the technical features that guarantee energy efficiency through reliable operation, Vasco also aims at the aesthetics of houses. An important role in this respect is played by the unique EasyFlow duct system , which supplies air to each room. These channels are easy to build and hide in the floor layers, so they do not disturb the interior with accidental developments, which may occur with large-sized ventilation systems.
EasyFlow channels are ready-made elements with seals, the most important feature of which is that they are only 6 cm high and can transmit 75m3/h in one line, which is a record value in the industry. Thanks to this, the installation is easy to hide in one layer of polystyrene on the inter-story ceiling or in the minimum height of the ceiling structure. It is particularly important that thanks to the specific dimensions and transmission options of EasyFlow ducts, the entire installation can be easily and without loss of room height placed inside the heated space of the house, which eliminates the risk of water condensation in the ducts, which is the greatest threat to the safety of the ventilation system.

A versatile solution for small houses - the new Vasco 225 COMPACT LE recuperator
The Vasco 225 Compact LE heat recovery unit allows the installation of a heat recovery system also in small houses. It offers full versatility of solutions in a very compact body. This small and quiet heat recovery unit can be easily placed in the laundry room, dressing room, hall and even in the kitchen, because its size allows it to be hidden inside a standard hanging kitchen cabinet.
225 COMPACT LE is the 3rd generation of Vasco solutions in the field of heat recovery units for single-family houses and includes the positive effects of experience gained in several dozen thousand Vasco installations in Europe.
The main advantages of this recuperator are:
- all made of EPP (foamed polypropylene) - currently the best material used for the construction of recuperators, thanks to thermal insulation and vibration damping;
- Constant Flow balancing system integrated in the fans;
- control via smartphone application or wireless wall controller.
Additionally, in 2024, Vasco will introduce a version of this recuperator with an enthalpy exchanger and support for two zones: day and night, which further facilitates effective and economical ventilation, extending the possibilities of using this small unit to medium-sized and large houses, thanks to the fact that the air is exchanged in these zones , where it is needed on an ongoing basis.
Complementing the aesthetics of interiors – decorative SMILEY diffusers
Anemostats appear in the ceilings of every room, which affects the aesthetics of the interior design of the house. Vasco offers decorative SMILEY diffusers , which on the one hand have precise adjustment in a wide range, recorded in Vasco designs (to be set according to the numerical scale in the diffusers), and on the other - decorative covers, perfectly made and painted with high-quality paint. Importantly, an investor planning the decor of his home can choose one of 5 shapes of covers based on his aesthetic preferences.
