The leader in the emergency lighting market, Beghelli , once again meets the needs of the industry by presenting its next revolutionary, original design – the award-winning MODULA Quick Installation System and a new family of multi-functional luminaires distinguished by their modular construction: Pratica Modula Matrix and Pratcia Modula.
What is the Modula quick assembly system?
The MODULA Quick Mount System is a revolutionary installation system that integrates a lighting fixture with a junction box. The new form of the box can accommodate electrical wiring, a spirit level, a booster battery, and various types of communication interfaces.
A system that reduces the installer's work time by 50%
The main advantage of the new method of mounting lighting fixtures is the abandonment of the use of installation boxes. The previous, traditional Beghelli box was replaced with the universal and multifunctional MODULA Quick Mounting System. The new box design is based on two separate, matching elements - one with a higher and the other with a lower profile, both with an IP65 degree of protection. They allow you to perform all activities related to connecting cables, installation, maintenance, service and programming without having to open the fixtures. Their design also allows for quick execution of a loop power supply or covering the wiring at the construction stage, protecting the interior from dust. The option of quickly unplugging the fixtures from the new bracket reduces the installer's working time by over 50% and works great in environments where downtime must be minimized, thus enabling maintenance and service activities without disrupting the normal operation of the facility.
What else does the new assembly method offer?
Possibilities and benefits of using the modular quick assembly system
Inside the box there is an interface for connecting communication modules, enabling the transition of luminaires from the native AutoTest and CableCom system to LG, LGFM or DALI. Modern buildings increasingly use advanced management systems, and the possibility of easy integration of lighting with these systems is a huge advantage. The system is equipped with a panel for programming the autonomy time (1/1.5/2/3/8 h), SE/SA/PS operating mode and an additional socket for the Booster Battery, which allows you to increase the flow in emergency mode or, alternatively, this battery can replace a damaged internal battery without having to open the luminaire.
A new series of luminaires compatible with the modular quick assembly system
Beghelli created the Modula Project in response to a deep need to build a family of multifunctional luminaires that, thanks to their modular design, offer ease of modification and incredible versatility of use.
Pratica Modula is a Modula family luminaire designed for emergency lighting of facilities in the industrial and public utility sectors. Its luminous flux in the most efficient versions is able to reach up to 2000 lm. The luminaire is available in CableCom, AT, LG, LGFM, DALI, LG24, LG230, CTS versions and has the RM function, i.e. a device for switching on Rest Mode. The luminaire is consistent with the MODULA Quick Mounting System, which contains jumpers for changing the autonomy, which can be set to the selected time: 1h / 1.5h / 2h / 3h / 8h.
Pratica Modula Matrix is the second emergency luminaire from the Modula series with a luminous flux of up to 3000 lm. The luminaire is equipped with 24 LEDs with variable mapping, for lighting large areas, evacuation routes and high-risk areas. It has 5 LED optical matrices available, thanks to which it can trigger different light distributions, depending on the planned task. The command to trigger a given light distribution can be made using the B.connect application. Pratica Modula Matrix available in the CT version is adapted to work with the selected LG, LGFM, DALI Central Unit.
Both luminaires have IP65 and IK07 protection, meet the conditions specified in the 850°C thermal test, and the ambient temperature range for their operation is from -10°C to +45°C. The luminaires from the Modula series are distinguished by a number of mounting methods: they can be suspended, ceiling-mounted, ceiling-recessed, wall-mounted or on a track. Therefore, they can be adapted to the various needs of users, from offices, through industry, to public spaces such as hospitals, hotels, offices or schools. There are two versions to choose from - monitored CT and with AutoTest AT.
In both cases, the luminaires are equipped with a universal mounting bracket - the MODULA Quick Mount System, which is also an installation box integrated with the luminaire. The installation of the above luminaires with the box is limited only to plugging them into the MODULA Quick Mount System and without the need to open the luminaires, which allows for carrying out all activities related to their connection inside the box itself, and this in turn allows for reducing the installation time of these luminaires by over 50%.
Moreover, Pratica Modula and Pratica Modula Matrix, which are emergency lighting luminaires, have a CNBOP approval certificate.
And they can operate based on other proprietary Beghelli solutions, such as the B.connect application for managing luminaire control systems or the Beghelli Nube Cloud cloud platform (more information about the Beghelli Nube Cloud https://www.beghelli.it/pl-pl/news/nube-nowoczesna-platforma-ulokowana-w-chmurze-189303 )
Beghelli's proprietary solutions are designed to meet the expectations and needs of the market, hence the Modula project, i.e. multifunctional luminaires with a modular structure, was born. Pratica Modula and Pratica Modula Matrix luminaires are designed for emergency lighting, and thanks to the innovative Modula quick assembly system, which they are equipped with, installation activities are simplified and, above all, shortened. A number of advantages and benefits of the system are aimed at making it possible to conveniently connect the luminaires.
