Make your home a safer place - Carbon Monoxide, Smoke and Heat Detectors

Many home hazards are hard to detect until it’s too late. These include fires and carbon monoxide poisoning. Installing the right detector in the right place could save your customers’ lives.

Our range of carbon monoxide, heat and smoke detectors are suitable for all types of residential properties including holiday homes, guest houses and caravans.

The offered sensors provide even greater protection thanks to the possibility of connecting devices into a wireless network. In the event of an alarm being triggered by one of the sensors, the remaining connected sensors will trigger the alarm simultaneously, significantly increasing user safety.

The sensors are equipped with appropriate modules that allow them to be connected to a wireless network. This means that no additional system elements are required.

Protection against dangers with carbon monoxide and carbon monoxide sensors

Honeywell Home R200H-N2 Radio-Function Carbon Monoxide Sensor All fuel-burning appliances can cause potentially fatal carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning. Gas cookers, gas boilers, open flames, barbecues and car exhaust fumes can all pose a serious carbon monoxide (CO) hazard. Anyone can become poisoned by carbon monoxide (CO) at home, but children, the elderly and pets are particularly at risk. Installing a Honeywell Home CO alarm near fossil fuel-burning appliances can significantly reduce this risk.

Homeowners are at risk from faulty or older appliances. Changing environmental conditions can cause even homes with new, high-quality appliances to develop excessive amounts of carbon monoxide (CO). Using a highly accurate sensing element, a CO sensor sends a signal as soon as a dangerous level of CO is detected in a room.

The battery-powered carbon monoxide detector is easy to mount on a wall or ceiling, and uses a low-power integrated circuit to operate for up to 10 years in standby mode.

Easy installation of Honeywell Home security sensors

Detailed installation instructions are included in the instructions included with each Honeywell Home carbon monoxide detector. Due to its slightly lower density than air, carbon monoxide tends to accumulate near the ceiling, which is why we recommend installing the detectors there. The best solution would be to install the detectors in every room where there is a fuel-burning appliance. The detector can be installed by either a professional installer or the homeowner.
When servicing or installing a boiler, look out for a carbon monoxide detector already installed near it. If there is no such device, suggest installing one to increase property safety.*

*Full recommendations can be found in EN 50292, which is a guide for the selection, installation, use and maintenance of domestic carbon monoxide detectors.

Better safety standards with Honeywell Home heat and smoke detectors

Mother and child in bedroom with safety sensor on ceiling Improved safety standards and new regulations (especially regarding the installation of smoke detectors) have significantly reduced the effects of fires in homes, but faulty electrical installations, careless smoking or cooking remain the most common causes. Reliable heat or smoke detectors are designed to warn residents in time, allowing them to evacuate safely and quickly take action to extinguish the fire.

Fires also break out at night, making reliable sensors and alarm systems essential to alert home occupants when they are less likely to notice the danger themselves.

Key Features:

  • Heat sensor equipped with a thermal sensor
  • 10-year battery life
  • Ceiling or wall mounting
  • Radio communication function
  • Possibility to connect up to 12 devices together
  • Automatic self-test

Where should the sensor be installed?

Honeywell Home R200H-N2 Radio Heat Sensor For detailed installation instructions, please refer to the instructions included with each Honeywell Home smoke and heat alarm. Due to the way fire and smoke spread, not every location in the home is suitable for installing a smoke alarm.

Installing a smoke detector in areas such as kitchens where dust easily accumulates or where smoke often appears during cooking or smoking can cause false alarms. A heat detector is a better choice for these areas. The detector can be installed by either a professional installer or the homeowner.

A heat and smoke sensor offers your customers additional security by alerting them to any unusual increase in temperature or the appearance of smoke.
