How to choose protective pipes for electric cables?
Casing pipes are categorized into two basic groups of solutions - construction casing pipes ; for use directly in the ground, as well as on working industrial pipes exposed to UV radiation, moisture, temperature differences, mechanical loads and other external factors.

Construction, purpose and material of casing pipes
Before making a decision regarding the selection of a protective pipe or cable bushing, it is necessary to carefully analyze the location conditions and exposure of cables and wires in a given operating environment. In addition, the parameters of cables or wires and the nature of their operation in a given environment should be determined. These factors determine the selection of construction and materials of casing pipes.
Protective pipes for laying in the ground
Name | Characteristic |
---|---|
Protective pipes A | Smooth-walled, flared pipes, designed to protect cables in normal field conditions. For jacking with small external loads. |
SRS® casing pipes | Smooth-wall, solid-wall socket pipes. Used when laying cables in difficult terrain conditions, at maximum transport loads. Used for laying in trenches. They are suitable for jacking and drilling up to 12 m. |
SRS-X protective tubes | Smooth-walled, socket-shaped pipes. Used when laying cables in difficult field conditions, with maximum transport loads. Used for laying in trenches. Three-layer construction - outer and inner layers colored, black core. |
SRS-G protective pipes (RHDPEp) | Smooth-wall pipes, produced without a socket connector, connected by welding. Used when laying cables in difficult field conditions, with maximum transport loads. Designed for jacking and drilling. |
SRS-GX protective pipes | Smooth-wall pipes, manufactured without a socket connector. Connected using connectors, they can be welded. They are not intended for drilling, they are intended for laying in trenches. |
OPTO® protective pipes (RHDPE) | Pipes are standardly produced in black with parallel stripes on the outer surface. They have sliding ribs to facilitate cable pulling. They are used to protect fiber optic cables, telecommunications construction, secondary sewerage and cable pipelines. |
DVK ® protective pipes | Double-wall pipes. They have a corrugated outer wall and a smooth inner wall. They are characterized by high peripheral stiffness. They are used only in open excavations and used as culverts under roads, streets and tracks. |
DVK(H) protective pipes | Double-wall pipes. They have a corrugated outer wall and a smooth inner wall. They are characterized by high peripheral stiffness and compression resistance - class N750. Only used in open excavations and used as culverts under roads, streets and tracks. |
DVK-T ® protective pipes | Double-walled pipes, corrugated for cable protection, with watertight connector. Made and used in the same way as DVK pipes, but with watertight connections. |
DVK-T(H) protective pipes | Double-walled pipes, corrugated for cable protection, with watertight connector. They have a corrugated outer wall and a smooth inner wall. They are characterized by high peripheral stiffness and compression resistance - class N750. Only used in open excavations and used as culverts under roads, streets and tracks. |
Colors of casing pipes
Black
Casing pipes used outside buildings are exposed to UV radiation, which accelerates the aging processes of the material. These pipes are produced in black color with an admixture of substances that protect against ultraviolet radiation.
Blue and red
Pipes laid on the ground are blue (protective pipes for LV cables ) and red ( protective pipes for MV cables). Alternatively, pipes for laying on the ground may be black with longitudinal blue and red stripes - in accordance with the intended use of the pipe.
