How to choose the right bathtub size for your bathroom?
To enjoy bathing and relax even better, you should choose the length of the bathtub to suit your height, but also the size of the room. Let's start with the fact that standard bathtubs have a depth of 38 to 47 cm. When it comes to the length of the bathtub, the choice is really huge. For example, you can opt for rectangular bathtubs with a length of 100 to 200 cm. In turn, the width is at a level of 70 to 100 cm. Asymmetrical bathtubs are worth attention, which can be small and have a length of 75 cm, but also almost 180 cm. In turn, oval bathtubs have a standard length of 175 to 190 cm, while round bathtubs - an average of 150 cm. If the bathroom has a small usable area, it is worth choosing a bathtub that is up to 150 cm long. It really saves space. Asymmetrical bathtubs or comfortable corner bathtubs that can be placed against the wall will work particularly well. Medium bathtubs have dimensions ranging from 150 to 170 cm. You can say that they combine comfort with convenience. Such models are really practical. You can place them near the sink, but also on a wall with a slant. If the bathroom space is large, you can choose large bathtub dimensions, i.e. those with a length of over 170 cm. This is a great choice for bathrooms where you want to create a bathing salon. You also have to remember that in order to be able to use the bathtub comfortably, you need to properly organize the space around it, so that you have free access to the battery or tap.
What shape of bathtub should you choose for your bathroom?
You already know what size of bathtub to choose, as well as what depth of bathtub fits a given bathroom. It is also worth paying attention to the shape. Asymmetrical bathtubs are certainly very popular, which look great in modern arrangements. If you are looking for a long bathtub, it is best to choose rectangular models. Of course, freestanding bathtubs are also available, which provide a lot of possibilities for arranging the bathroom. In addition, they are a great part of the interior design and, importantly, they can be placed almost anywhere. When choosing the shape of the bathtub, remember one more rule, namely the length adjusted to the height. The standard difference is a bathtub 20 cm shorter than the height. If you are interested in a freestanding bathtub, choose one that has a floor protection system. Thanks to this, you do not have to worry about scratching even very delicate bathroom tiles. The height of the bathtub is another important parameter that you need to pay attention to. Low bathtubs are less than 40 cm high, while those with a height of 40 cm are considered standard. In turn, bathtubs with an average height are models of 45-50 cm. Tall bathtubs are over 55 cm high.
Type of bathtub depending on the shape of the room
Finding the right bathtub doesn't have to be difficult or time-consuming. You definitely need to consider the shape that also fits the room. The standard solution is indeed a rectangular bathtub, which can be installed in a recess by the wall or even in the corner. If you have a bathroom with a slope, such a bathtub will also work very well. On the other hand, rectangular bathtubs with a raised edge can be placed in a rectangular or square bathroom. Oval or round bathtubs work best in large rooms, although wall-mounted models are available, but they look better in the very center of the room. There are also corner bathtubs, which are called corner bathtubs. They are built on a polygonal plan. We distinguish octagonal and hexagonal models. In turn, the one based on a semicircle, are asymmetrical left or right bathtubs. Such bathtubs are very universal and can be placed in both small and large bathrooms. Symmetrical models have equal sides, which means that they take up less space than asymmetrical ones. You can of course choose bathtubs with contoured seats or those equipped with armrests. If you want to create a kind of SPA zone and you like to relax in the water, you can choose a bathtub with a hydromassage.
