The Tigris MX series, which is the result of knowledge and experience acquired over several decades, combines and extends the features of the Wavin Tigris system . An easy-to-install PE-Xc/AL/PE pipe with high flow parameters, combined with the new generation Tigris MX series fittings, sets new boundaries in the process of optimizing the efficiency of water supply installations and reducing flow resistance.
Shaped technology
Wavin's "Ultimate flow" concept allows pressure losses to be reduced by up to one third. Based on the large internal diameter of the Tigris system pipe and the adapted axial pressing concept, the Wavin Tigris MX series offers optimized solutions in situations with the highest pressure loss requirements . Thanks to better flow parameters resulting from a larger internal diameter, the use of Tigris MX fittings allows the use of pipes with a smaller diameter and, consequently, reduces the project costs. Moreover, the technology ensuring mutual compatibility of all elements allows several Wavin products to be combined in one installation . Tigris MX series fittings are available in the diameter range of 16–32 mm.

To make working with the Tigris MX system even easier, a multifunctional tool has been created, ideal for smaller installations. Thanks to the 360° rotating head, flashlight and press count indicator , expanding and pressing can be done with one tool! In addition, the crimping heads and expanding device are easily removable, plug & play for single applications.

Features of Wavin Tigris MX fittings:
- maximum flow - 30% larger and constant internal diameter of the hole combined with the large diameter of the Tigris pipe ensures maximum flow and minimum pressure losses;
- one pipe for all fittings - the Wavin Tigris PE_Xc-AL-PE pipe is a market-proven pipe that fits both radially pressed fittings - Tigris K5/M5 and new axially pressed fittings, i.e. Axial Press type - Tigris MX. This provides the flexibility to use the same pipe depending on the choice of mounting system;
- reliable construction - Wavin Tigris MX is resistant to cracking. Tested in extreme conditions with 10 times expansion of the sleeve. Extensibility
sleeve tested at – 10°C; - defined leak (leak control function) - in the absence of a clamping sleeve, leaks can be detected based on the drop in water or air pressure. The lack of a collet is also easy to see thanks to the high contrast
between the color of the pipe and sleeve; - eco-brass - for the sake of health, the body of Tigris MX fittings is made of lead-free brass type CW724R, thus meeting market regulations
installation worldwide. The brass used in the connector is a corrosion-resistant material and has antibacterial properties; - safety rib - Wavin Tigris MX has two larger ribs - the first and fifth. The first rib, the so-called protective, prevents the pipe from sliding off the fitting;
- locking rib - the locking mechanism in the form of a fifth, larger rib does not allow the fitting to be pressed too deep into the pipe;
- symmetrical shape (double-sided clamping sleeve) - the clamping sleeve of the Tigris MX fitting is double-sided. There is no fear that it will be installed incorrectly;
- 100% tightness without a gasket - Wavin Tigris MX has no O-rings. Properly profiled ribs with a fitted clamping sleeve ensure 100% tightness.
