PH2 and PZ2 are the basic bit variants available on the market. How do they differ? The Philips cross bit set is used to screw in and unscrew screws with two flat slots. This is a so-called cross bit, because the slots are arranged perpendicularly to each other, i.e. at a right angle. PZ2 bits are also cross bits, but of the Pozidriv type. They differ slightly in shape from the first variant. In the PZ variant, the tip looks quite characteristic, like two crosses that are offset by a 45° angle. The narrower of the crosses is characterized by a smaller recess, and its role is to provide appropriate stabilization for the screwing device. The big advantage of PZ bits is greater stabilization, and the specific design allows for maximization of torque.
How to choose the right bit for a screw?
When choosing the right bit for screws, you should first of all pay attention to the shape. Classic "crosses", torxes, Allen keys - choosing the right one is necessary to screw in or unscrew screws and bolts.
The second key issue is to check the bit model variant you have - whether it is suited to the material variant you plan to work with. Other models are designed for wood, and others for concrete. Using without checking the purpose can lead to damage to the tips.
