Grate with transverse spheroidal cast iron bars, 50 cm

The grate is made of spheroidal cast iron – a material with high compressive strength and resistance to dynamic loads. This makes it suitable for areas with heavy traffic, such as parking lots, local roads, industrial sites, or port areas. Load class E600 means it can withstand a load of up to 60 kN – corresponding to heavy vehicles, including trucks and specialized vehicles.

The top surface features a patented pattern – it ensures effective water drainage while minimizing the risk of slipping. The 12 mm wide slots are wide enough to prevent clogging by leaves or small debris, yet narrow enough to prevent larger objects from passing through. Compared to grates with longitudinal bars, the transverse construction distributes the load more evenly across the entire width of the channel – reducing the risk of deformation under heavy loads.

The system is compatible with ACO DRAIN Multiline V 150 channels and is equipped with the Drainlock® mechanism – a snap-lock closure that prevents the grate from shifting during operation. No additional fasteners or screws are required. Installation is quick and stable: the grate "clicks" into the channel and locks automatically.

The V-shaped channel cross-section promotes self-cleaning – water flows naturally along the slope, carrying away contaminants. Spheroidal cast iron does not require a standard anti-corrosion coating – but an optional KTL (cathodic electrodeposition coating) is available, providing additional protection against corrosion in aggressive environments (e.g., areas with salt or chemicals).

Compliant with PN-EN 1433:2005+A1 – the standard for road drainage systems. No special tools or additional fastening elements are required for installation. It operates maintenance-free for many years – even under cyclic loads and extreme weather conditions.
