The ACO GALA G100 channel is a component of a linear drainage system, designed for operation under conditions requiring resistance to load class C-250. Made of polymer concrete, it combines the strength of concrete with chemical resistance and frost resistance, making it an ideal choice for outdoor installations exposed to varying weather conditions. Thanks to the use of polymer concrete material, the channel can be safely installed in locations where there is a risk of water freezing or the use of road salt.

Application and load class

The product complies with the EN 1433 standard for load class C-250, meaning it is suitable for areas with pedestrian and bicycle traffic, as well as light vehicular traffic. These parameters make the channel suitable for:

• residential areas and gardens,
• sidewalks and bicycle paths,
• school courtyards and playgrounds,
• bus and tram platforms,
• curb-side drainage areas along streets and along road edges.

It is worth noting that although the product is sold as a channel without a grate (included in the set), its design allows for the installation of a symmetrical cast iron grate. Such a configuration ensures an aesthetic finish and full functionality of the drainage system.

Construction and installation options

The 1000 mm long channel features a special groove in the base, allowing for easy punching of a connection outlet wherever necessary for the rainwater drainage system. This solution facilitates installers in adapting the system to site specifics without the need for additional cutting accessories.

The ACO Gala system features screw-fastened grates (to be purchased separately), ensuring their stability and preventing displacement due to pedestrian traffic or wind. The possibility of sealing elements during installation further increases the watertightness of the entire system, protecting the substrate from uncontrolled water inflow.

Thanks to its simple construction model and symmetrical shape, the channel easily integrates with various types of surfaces – from paving stones to asphalt or decorative concrete.
