Modern Drainage with Self-Cleaning Effect

The ACO SELF Euroline system is a solution that combines the durability of polymer concrete with an innovative V-shaped cross-section. Thanks to this geometric design, the flow velocity of water in the channel significantly increases, naturally inducing a self-cleaning effect. Water does not stagnate, and sediments are flushed out along with the water stream – a key advantage for installations in areas prone to contamination, such as garage entrances or driveways. The 500 mm long channel is made of durable polymer concrete, which is resistant to oils, gasoline, and aggressive chemical agents used in winter (de-icing salts). This material is also frost-resistant, ensuring structural stability even under significant temperature fluctuations.

Safety and Ease of Installation

A key element of this system is the cast iron grate, which not only meets high aesthetic requirements but, above all, ensures safe operation. The load class allows for safe passage of passenger cars and pedestrian traffic. Importantly for installers and users, the grate mounting system is designed without screws – components snap onto special latches. This eliminates the need for tools during disassembly and assembly and prevents problems with screw corrosion or seizing after years of operation. As a result, maintenance and cleaning of the channel interior are quick and free of unnecessary complications.

Application and System Compatibility

The product is ideally suited for residential construction, where effective collection and control of rainwater are required. Due to its construction and load-bearing class, the channel can be used in:

• Garage entrances of single-family homes (with a maximum slope of 8%),
• Driveways to properties,
• Terraces and building entrances,
• Bicycle paths and sidewalks.

The system is slope-free in its basic form, facilitating drainage route planning. In cases where water discharge to the sewer system is required, versions with 110 mm diameter outlets or sediment trap boxes are available. This model features a construction width of 118 mm and a height of approximately 104 mm, with a unit weight of about 6 kg. This low weight of components significantly facilitates transport on the construction site and manual handling during channel installation, even by a single person. It is worth noting that although the grate has a factory-applied black coating or basic protective spray, this is not a long-term durable finish without additional maintenance – in the case of intensive vehicular traffic, it may require refurbishment or powder coating to maintain aesthetics. Thanks to the smooth internal surface, hydraulic flow properties are optimal, and the risk of clogging is minimized by the aforementioned self-cleaning effect resulting from the V-profile.
