This element serves as a solid base for system doormats, dedicated to installation in entrance areas where effective removal of water and dirt from footwear is required. Thanks to the use of polymer concrete, the product combines the durability of traditional concrete with resistance to atmospheric factors, making it suitable both indoors and in locations exposed to rain or snow. The material is frost-resistant, eliminating the risk of structural cracking during freeze-thaw cycles – a key feature for outdoor installation. Dimensions of 600 x 400 mm and a height of 80 mm allow flexible adaptation to various entrance spaces, from small stairwells to large warehouse halls.

Construction and Safety of Use

The key structural element is an integrated edge made of galvanized steel. This construction not only reinforces the base edges, preventing mechanical damage during intensive pedestrian traffic, but also facilitates the installation of the doormat. Inside the housing, reinforcing ribs increase the rigidity of the entire structure without the need for additional stiffeners. At the bottom, there is a drainage hole with a diameter of 110 mm, allowing direct connection to a standard sewage or drainage system. However, load limitations must be observed: the product has a load class of A-15 (according to EN 1433 standard), meaning it can withstand static loads up to 15 kN (approx. 1.5 tons). This means the element is intended exclusively for pedestrian zones and is not suitable for areas with vehicle traffic or heavy forklifts.

Installation and System Compatibility

The installation process is designed to be simple, even for individuals without specialized construction equipment. The base can be laid directly on a leveled substrate (e.g., concrete or paving stones) or embedded in masonry mortar – depending on the specific substrate and architectural project requirements. Thanks to the modular design of the VARIO system, this element works perfectly with other components of the series, such as steel grates or rubber and aluminum mats with appropriate dimensions (60x40 cm).

It is worth emphasizing that the body is made of polymer concrete and the edge of galvanized steel – this combination guarantees durability under demanding operating conditions. With external dimensions of 600 x 400 mm and a height of 80 mm, the product occupies minimal space while offering a functional drainage hole with Ø 110 mm. According to EN 1433 standard, load class A-15 specifies the scope of applications exclusively for pedestrian zones.

Thanks to its versatility and chemical and mechanical resistance, this solution is ideal for public facilities, office buildings, shops, and single-family homes, where maintaining cleanliness in the entrance area while preserving the aesthetics and durability of the installation is a priority.
