Cascade element for ACO Gaka G100 02604
Cascade element for the ACO Gala® G100 system
Cascade element 02604 is designed to connect two ACO Gala® G100 channels with different gradients, enabling smooth water transition between segments featuring a pre-formed bottom slope of 0.5%. This is a critical component in installations requiring controlled discharge direction—for example, when contaminated or hazardous water must be diverted to a dedicated collection point.
Manufactured from the same non-absorbent and frost-resistant polymer concrete as the system channels, it ensures durability under extreme atmospheric conditions. It is resistant to degradation caused by road salt, chemicals, or cyclic freezing and thawing—as confirmed by the manufacturer's laboratory tests.
Installation is straightforward: the element is placed between channel types 0.–10., 5.–15., or 10.–20., forming a natural cascade with a height difference of 5 cm. No additional gaskets or adhesives are required—its shape and material guarantee watertightness with standard connections. For installations requiring full sealing (e.g., when handling hazardous substances), a special sealing compound can be added—the system supports this option.
It operates exclusively in conjunction with gradient ACO Gala® G100 channels. It is not intended for use with non-gradient channels or as a standalone component. Its function is purely mechanical—it contains no moving parts, requires no maintenance, and does not wear out when installed correctly.
The technical value of this element lies in its precision: the 5 cm height difference between inlet and outlet is not aesthetic but functional—it maintains the required hydrodynamic gradient without the need for additional pumps or valves.
Applications:
- Drainage along road edges where water must be directed to treatment wells
- School courtyards and residential areas with risk of chemical contamination
- Platforms and logistics zones where water stagnation must be avoided
- Sports complexes with sloped drainage systems
- Areas where regulations require isolation of drainage from stormwater networks
It serves as the final component in the assembly chain—installing it without preceding and following gradient segments is ineffective. Mounting is achieved through natural fit to the channel profile—no screws or clamps are required.
- Clear width 100mm
- Made of non-absorbent and frost-resistant polymer concrete (confirmed by laboratory tests)
- Maximum load class C250
- Screw fixing of the grate to the crossbar.
- Possibility to use channels with a profiled bottom slope of 0.5% (e.g. when it is required that hazardous substances flow to the receiver).
- The system can be sealed with special masses to maintain full tightness, if required.
