Anti-freeze valve for heat pump protection

This AFRISO AAV 100 anti-freeze valve, with G1 inch connections, is a key element protecting heating and cooling systems with air-to-water monoblock heat pumps from damage caused by freezing of the medium. Its installation on the return and supply pipes, close to the outdoor unit, minimizes the risk of failure in low temperatures.

This valve is indispensable in systems where loss of circulation (e.g. due to power failure) can lead to freezing of the fluid in the installation. In such a situation, the thermal element inside the valve automatically opens the discharge of the medium to the outside, preventing damage to the heat exchanger and other sensitive components. When the temperature rises above 4°C, the valve closes automatically.

Made of dezincification-resistant brass (DZR), it guarantees durability and reliable operation. The EPDM rubber seal ensures tightness and resistance to weather conditions. The maximum working pressure is 10 bar, and the maximum medium temperature is 70°C. The flow rate Kvs at 55 m³/h ensures an efficient flow of medium in the installation.
