Fire-resistant sealant – safety and durability of installations

ALFA FR MASTIC is an acrylic fire-resistant sealant designed to protect installation passages in buildings. The product expands under high temperature, effectively sealing openings around pipes and cables, creating an insulating barrier and ensuring the tightness of the partition up to EI 240. This is a key solution to ensure fire safety in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.

Application and benefits

ALFA FR MASTIC has a wide range of applications in sealing passages:

• Non-combustible pipes: steel, copper, cast iron.

Construction and installation – the key to effective protection

ALFA FR MASTIC is particularly recommended for cable passages, where sealing on both sides with a sealant depth of only 25 mm allows for high fire resistance. Remember to properly prepare the substrate – the surface should be clean and free of grease and other contaminants. In the case of openings with greater depth, it is recommended to use a mineral wool backing with appropriate density. Depending on the diameter of the pipe or cable and the type of partition, select the appropriate layer thickness of the sealant and insulation according to the product's technical documentation. Two labels for marking the installation passage are included with the 310ml cartridge.
